Where did summer go? seems that it has been quite some time since I last posted. We had a wonderful summer with a very great memory making camping trip to top it all of with in August. I had gone into that trip with fear and trepidation in my heart as I am not really a tent camper. But! My boys--the two little ones and the husband boy went out of their way to make sure mom didn't work too hard and managed to have a bit of a vacation also. My boys got along and were helpful and appreciative---a delight to be traveling with in a car. Many happy memories were made.

On the education front---sigh----school has begun for us and we are almost through with week 2. I did not though, start with our core curriculum yet, which is Instead we are doing a 3 week pirate unit study. I purchased the pirate guide from this site---- It is a family owned business and she has a lot of fun unit study guides. I just felt like easing into our school year. So far we have been reading various pirate books, I am reading Treasure Island (unabridged!) out loud. We have also started math, latin, and science. Our language arts is all wrapped up in the pirate study. We did start our Monday writing class this past week--using Institute for Excellence in Writing--or commonly known as IEW. I am teaching a class of 15 students--including my own two--so that is one more thing on my education plate.

The other thing we have begun is a new poetry memorization program--seen here--- In less then two full weeks we have memorized 4.5 poems. I thought my 13 year old would be less than enthusiastic about this, but he has surprised me and cooperated and even enjoyed it. :)

On a side note, I apparently have become the meanest mom in the world due to the fact that I am requiring Sam to write his vocabulary words and his copywork out in cursive!!! Oh the agony of it all. I keep trying to convince him that the more he uses his cursive the easier it will get--especially since we used Handwriting Without Tears--which in my not-so humble opinion is THE most logical cursive program out there.

Well--that is all the terrible exciting news and musings from this mom. OH--forgot to add what we are reading:

I am reading a Miss Read story called News From Thrush Green. If you like Jan Karon,I think you will like Miss Read!

Sam is reading The Opal Deception:

Austen is reading Dragon Rider:

Your vacation sounds like a whole lot of fun. One of our real vacations was camping, too, and we had a whole lot of fun. My DH, my (at the time) 3 kids, and my oldest little brother were with me.

Sounds like you are starting school on a good foot. I hope you post again and tell us how the pirate unit study went.

I was just browsing various blogs as I was doing a search on the word poster, and I just wanted to say that I really like what you've done with your blog, even though it wasn't particularly related to what I searched for. I appreciate your postings, and your blog is a good example of how a blog should be done. I've only just recently started a Posters website - feel free to visit it when you get a chance if you wish. Much success, antonio.

Make no mistake: Our mission at Tip Top Equities is to sift through the thousands of underperforming companies out there to find the golden needle in the haystack. A stock worthy of your investment. A stock with the potential for big returns. More often than not, the stocks we profile show a significant increase in stock price, sometimes in days, not months or years. We have come across what we feel is one of those rare deals that the public has not heard about yet. Read on to find out more.

Nano Superlattice Technology Inc. (OTCBB Symbol: NSLT) is a nanotechnology company engaged in the coating of tools and components with nano structured PVD coatings for high-tech industries.

Nano utilizes Arc Bond Sputtering and Superlattice technology to apply multi-layers of super-hard elemental coatings on an array of precision products to achieve a variety of physical properties. The application of the coating on industrial products is designed to change their physical properties, improving a product's durability, resistance, chemical and physical characteristics as well as performance. Nano's super-hard alloy coating materials were especially developed for printed circuit board drills in response to special market requirements

The cutting of circuit boards causes severe wear on the cutting edge of drills and routers. With the increased miniaturization of personal electronics devices the dimensions of holes and cut aways are currently less than 0.2 mm. Nano coats tools with an ultra thin coating (only a few nanometers in thickness) of nitrides which can have a hardness of up to half that of diamond. This has proven to increase tool life by almost ten times. Nano plans to continue research and development into these techniques due to the vast application range for this type of nanotechnology

We believe that Nano is a company on the move. With todays steady move towards miniaturization we feel that Nano is a company with the right product at the right time. It is our opinion that an investment in Nano will produce great returns for our readers.
