List 3 emotions you experienced this week

1. Joy at the wonderful out pouring of love from my family towards me on Mother's Day.

2. Apprehension as I considered asking my mom and dad over for dinner this coming Sunday. Our relationship has been strained for the past few years, and while we all put on our happy faces for special occasions, all is not happy. One thing I am realizing is that they are not going to change into the kind of parents and grandparents that I long for, and I need to find a way to accept that and move on with having the best relationship I can have with them. They are my only parents and are not getting any younger.

3. Pride--at watching both my little men play baseball this week. I am amazed at their talent and lack of fear--confidence oozes from them on the ball field!

Name a car you’d love to have.

I used to have a mom-van and loved it while we had it.








As my family size shrunk, (ie: kids growing up and leaving for college) and the old van began to wear out, we got rid of it. Actually, we couldn't afford the gas right now for it even if we still had it. Now I drive a 2007 Mazda 3 and it is the first car in 25 years of marriage that we have purchased brand new. I love it!!




My absolute dream car though, would be a jaguar!

Describe your typical morning routine.

Basically, I get out of bed, get Sam up and moving towards getting ready for school. (Austen and my husband leave before I get up). I put on my make-up, take out my hair curlers,and then get dressed. If dinner is a crockpot meal, I assemble it the night before, and then plug it in before leaving the house. At about 8:40, I drop Sam off at school and drive to work. Then the fun begins! :)

Main Course
Have you ever emailed someone famous? If so, who, and what did you say to them? Did they reply?

No. But I did write a letter to the children's author, Beverly Cleary, (Ramona the Pest books) when I was in grade school. I got a letter back from her and so wish today that I still had that letter.

Do you listen to podcasts? If so, which ones?

No. I am still trying to figure out the CD player in my new car!!
