What do you do......

...when you haven't received hardly any snow this winter?

You go to the snow!!!!

Today, our church's boys, age 1st through 6th grade had their annual snow hike day. They traveled about an hour and a half away to Snoqualmie Pass and had a ball, sledding , building snow forts, and eating lunch around a campfire! Even big brothers were invited along, which is why I have pictures of Austen on this trip. I have to say a big, "once again, you are my hero, Kerry" for taking the day off work today to go.....for the 17th consecutive year! This is one more event marking the end of an era for our family and Kerry's service over the years to our congregation's boys' ministry. SEVENTEEN years!!!! (Our 3rd and last son is in 6th grade this year and will be moving up to the youth program in the Fall.) He spent quite a bit of time last night getting our boys all outfitted for the day. When you don't get much snow where you live, snow gear isn't always found handily! Then, I heard him in the kitchen this morning around 7:30 getting lunches made and hot cocoa ready for the thermoses.

Here are a couple of pictures:

Great pictures! What a fun thing to do and I bet boys love that.
Of course we don't get snow here...but it's still to hard to go to the snow because it's so far away!

So much fun, and great pictures! :)

I live in the desert...we NEVER get snow, even if the temperatures fall below freezing! :(
