Homecoming 2008

Austen had his first date last night, which also happened to be his first school dance. He was nervous and she was nervous, so we didn't overwhelm them with taking too many pictures before they left. He went with a girl from our youth group, and then another friend of his from jazz band and his date.

We hosted pre-dance pictures at our house. Then they got into Austen's friend's dad's Lexus and drove to a small little Italian restaurant. It was off to the dance after dinner, where he said that yes, he did actually dance. They had formal pictures taken there and after they had enough of the dance, they took off to a late night movie.

I waited up for him--and boy did I feel my age--he didn't get home until 2:00 a.m. and I was about falling asleep at the computer desk!

Here are some images:

These are great pictures. He looks so handsome and very relaxed, like he wears a tux all the time! I'm glad they had a good time. Great memories for him.

Wow, what great pictures! He looks so handsome in his tux, especially when he has that big smile splashed across his face! His date is a gorgeous young lady and it sounds like they had fun :) Just the start of many long nights for you though, huh mom?! :)
