seeing blue

It is Monday and why not just call it what it is...Blue Monday! This weekly event is hosted by Smiling Sally and is great fun to play along with. Thanks Sally for hosting each week. I haven't participated for a while but decided it was time to get back into the swing of things.

I am sharing a little child size tea set that my Grandma Aeline made for my daughter Sarah.

My grandmother has been gone for 16 years and this was one of the last gifts she made for anyone--she was living in an assisted living facility and they had weekly craft time which is where she painted, decaled and glazed this little ceramic set. When she passed away I received very few things from her estate which has saddened me for many years. I think that is why I treasure this little gem so much. I really should give it to my daughter as it IS hers! Instead it sits on a wall shelf in my bedroom.

Yes, Kim, you should give it to your daughter; however, perhaps she's happy with you "storing" it for you! Glad to see you back again. Thanks for sharing. Happy Blue Monday.
