Mondays thoughts

For Today...July 6th, 2009

Outside my window... gray clouds have blown in from the ocean overnight, which is cooling our temps down from the upper 80's and lower 90's we have had since the end of last week.

I am thinking... How wonderful it was to see my oldest boy come home for the 4th of July and to see my 3 sons have such a great time lighting fireworks off together last night.

From the learning rooms...I have put together a reading list for my boys for the summer. It can be viewed HERE.

I am thankful for... my great country, the United States of America, the land of the free and home of the brave. I am also thankful for the sacrifices made by those serving in our armed forces, working to keep us free and for the sacrifices their families make. For the friends and family who came to our house to help us celebrate on the 4th...I couldn't ask for better friends.

From the kitchen... nothing much new today. We have been eating leftovers from our big party we hosted Saturday. Both boys have baseball games tonight so I won't even be making dinner tonight.

I am wearing... tan capri pants, a burgundy, tan, off white plaid madras like shirt, brown sketchers and gold jewelry.

I am reading... The Well and the Mine by Gin Phillips

I am hoping... that I can feel caught up at work this week. That I have a productive phone consult with my cardiologist today.

I am creating... Nothing!

I am praying... That the baby girl, my daughter is carrying, continues to grow and develop normally and stays healthy!

Around the house... The boys have the t.v. on in the other room but I can't hear what it is. The fan is on in the den and is blowing cool air in.

One of my favorite things... Shopping at the new children's consignment store for my unborn, sweet little granddaughter! I love pink and ruffles and pleats and lace!

A few plans for the rest of the week... Boys baseball games, vbs program Thursday night, a friend's son's senior violin recital.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

The view looking up from my chair in my front yard, July 4th!

Great daybook! How wonderful to be shopping for your new granddaughter already :) And how great to see fireworks from your front yard, I wish I could do that :)

That is a great fireworks shot.
You are going to have SUCH fun with a little granddaughter! You'll just eat her up!
Hope your week is going good.
