Cooking rut? Who me?'s that time of the week again and I had a rude awakening today. I made the mistake of telling my husband I was going to look for some new recipes and he looked at me, smiled and said, "good"! What? Was he saying my menus have fallen into a rut?

I then made the mistake of asking the boys if they felt I made the same thing all the time--their answer...said very hesitantly because they are sensitive that way..."occasionally"! Well....hmpfff! Then Sam said, "I don't like it when you look for new recipes!"

What is a mom to do? Whatever she wants, if she is the one doing the cooking! (just my own personal theory).

On a review kind of note, the sloppy joes I made last week were a hit, and will some day make it back on the menu, but not too soon, as we don't want to get in a rut now, do we. ;)

Baked Rigatoni with Ham, Sour Dough Bread, Corn on the Cob

Maple Flavored Barbecue Chicken, Rice, Asparagus

Cantonese Pork (crock pot recipe), Rice, Fresh Fruit

A big thank you to Laura who hosts mpm each week!

I am on a recipe hunt. We are all in a rut around here. They are tired of the same old, same old--but don't like to try new things.

Have a tasty week!

Your menu looks awesome! I just left you a comment over on the bbq chicken recipe at your food blog. We love those and have them often :)

Are all of these recipes new to you? If so, WOW! I am so very impressed. I go through phases of making tried and trues, versus trying out new recipes. But I never seem to try more than one or two new ones in a week. I'm in awe of you!

Have a wonderful week and let us know how all of these turn out!
