Week's Weather --our weather has been ever changing. Yesterday and today it was just plain stinkin' hot! Right now at 10:00 p.m. it is 85 degrees outside! Marine air is pushing in, and I am hearing thunder and seeing lightening!
Sunday Sermon --Colossians 1:15-20 (Jesus: Bigger than Big)
Life lessons-- life is all about change and nothing stays the same!
Favorite Meal(s)--looking forward to trying a new recipe this week, Chicken Lime Tacos.
Treasured Moment(s)-- Watching my boys play baseball, going to my daughter's apartment several times this week to get help with my knitting
Simple Pleasures* ---Talking to a good friend who I hardly see anymore due to her being back in nursing school and me working full time!
Talked with--Andrew (my college son) called me tonight to chat and touch base. I think he misses us occasionally! :)
Impacting News
National --Burrowing muskrat causes levee to fail in Missouri, Honey Bee crisis could lead to higher food prices
Local --new Washington law goes into effect which bans hand held phone use while driving
Personal --I learned how to knit!
Things I Read --An Incomplete Revenge by Jacqueline Winspear, The Grass Harp by Truman Capote
Movies We Watched--This weekend we watched Spiderwick Chronicles
Interesting Internet-- Made time to update my blog this weekend
Places We Went --South Center Mall, downtown Kent, Church, baseball field
Budget Savers/Busters --Buster: wasted gas by making a few extra trips getting kids places rather than planning my route out a head of time. Saver: Bought two cans of mandarin oranges to split with Kerry--(we both take them to work with us--he puts his in some yogurt, I put mine in some cottage cheese), at 48 cents (x2) a can rather than buying the single serve packages which would have cost at the minimum of $1.68! I am feeling very aware of the rise of food prices in our area and just how much all these little single serve pre-packaged snack items are costing.
Blessings --my best friend Jodi, my job, my boys, my daughter, my husband
Challenges--drinking enough water and working out
Accomplishments --learning to knit
Family Happenings --moved our bedroom into a different room and Kerry is building a big closet for us, baseball games for the boys continue

How's the closet coming?
Sounds like a great week!
Great pics! I just learned the knit and purl stitches Sat. night!!
Kept trying to learn from a book and just couldn't get the purl stitch...finally, bought a video (half-price) and got it!! Yippee! Hoping to make some Christmas gifts with my new, still-improving, skill :)
Love chicken lime tacos!!
Have a great week, Kim...and thanks for joining in the fun.
I loved reading about your week! I can't believe you guys are having nights where it's 85 at 10 PM, that sounds like us! Thankfully, my AC runs almost constantly around here :)
