4th of July wrap up

The smoke has cleared, the mess in the street is cleaned up, the leftover homemade ice-cream is tucked away in the freezer and all the leftovers are put away----here is our 4th of July in pictures. I hope you all had as good a day as we did!

Just a side note: These fireworks were actually ones my boys lit off in our street! All the cities around us have banned the individual sale and purchase of fireworks, but we live outside the city limits of Kent, in unincorporated King County, so we are still able to have this fun. The boys were closely supervised, and there is nothing funner on the 4th than seeing my boys get joy out of lighting something off! I don't get it, but they love it. I am anticipating that in the next year or two we will not be able to do this--either King County will ban it, or we will be annexed into the city of Kent. Anyway--we had a great time and it was a much nicer time than fighting the crowds downtown Seattle watching the big professional show.

Great collage, Kim! Looks like you guys had a great 4th :) Our little suburb doesn't allow fireworks either, and something came up, and we missed the big display not far from our house. Boo-hoo, but glad you guys had a great time!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)
