I have a found a new level of grossness in my home..
What could it be you ask?
Well, actually, if you have a teen boy in YOUR home, you may have at times discovered this same grossness in your home.
Gross, gross, gross......
**Soggy, sweaty, bacteria ridden shirt, shorts and socks worn at P.E. and then football practice in 80 degree weather. Then shoved into a bag, all wadded up. Just waiting for me to reach my hand in to pull them out for a good thorough washing!**
Did I mention that my angelic little Sam is turning out for 7th grade football? This is our first boy out of 3 to want to play this sport. He has lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks...they work them HARD. The sad part is that since he has never played, he isn't as skilled as some boys and so will be relegated to the B team. He will probably only get to play in about 3 games. But on the positive side, less risk of injuries and/or trips to the emergency room for the Gatz family! :)
You want to know what he said to me the other day?
Sam: "Hey mom, guess what?"
Mom: "What Sam?"
Sam:"Tomorrow we get our pads and that is so cool because we will actually get to start hitting each other!"
Sigh...only in the mind of a boy would that really be cool...

Okay, I think we may be related. As I was reading "The sad part is that since he has never played, he isn't as skilled as some boys and so will be relegated to the B team." I thought, "Yeah, but maybe he'll not get hurt!" And laughed as I read what you wrote for positives.
Praying for his experience playing & safety. Praying for your sanity and peace of mind.
We're acquiring some of those "gross" things. Ugh.
