Ta Da!!! --or---where did I get all these clothes?????

This really was the closet from hell. I dreaded even opening the door to get something out of it and as you look at these pictures you will certainly agree with me! When the purging mood hits, I need to jump on it.

This first shot is actually my sweatshirts and jackets piled up on the top of a rubbermaid crate--the top crate in a tower of four!

Here we see my pile of shoes--which I am constantly tripping over and my husband is constantly complaining about! (This doesn't show the ones under my bed--I love shoes!)

These next two show shirts hanging off the shelves...!

The process of yanking it all out, sorting it and folding it! This is the point of no return on tackling this job---yikes! What have I gotten myself into?

Four crates go to the attic--bless Austen's and Sam's hearts for hauling them for me!

Four bags of donation items-(actually I ended up with 5 bags to donate)

ALL DONE!!!

DISCLAIMER: at the time of picture taking, I had not vacuumed the closet floor yet!

This is where all the sweatshirts were--on top of a tower of 4 crates. Now there is only 1 crate and two baskets!

This is where the pile of shoes was.

Nothing hanging off shelves now!

Austen thought he would be cute and snapped this shot of me. I am sitting on the floor sorting through some medical bills and insurance stuff. How do you like my fancy filing system? You know--the large ziploc baggie? Nothing says organized like a gallon size freezer bag! Yes siree, organization is MY middle name! :)

Aside from this little project, we did manage the mall for a short bit and bought the boys some back to school clothes. Glad we were out today and not next weekend--most schools around here start after Labor Day Weekend. More laundry and sorting of junk tomorrow after church--have a blessed day, everyone.

Congratulations on finishing such a big project! It's so motivating to me to see a project like this completed.

How great that you have a sofa in your bedroom to curl up on for reading. I wish our room was big enough for a comfy chair!

I am impressed. What do you charge. My closet/room are in need of a huge make over/cleaning.

The baggie filing system is very sophisticated. I use THAT too!!! LOL.

Great job.
